The Free to Smile brand is comprised of concise and bright  colors, graphics , and typography styles. Take full advantage of our design system to apply the brand across various touch points and collateral. Color plays an essential role in our visual identity. How color is used adds personality and creates a welcoming aesthetic to the identity.  The colors represent happiness and peace, by intentionally using calming colors that please the eye.

Mascot

The Free to Smile mascot represents the happiness a smile can bring; especially to those whose either have cleft lip or a person who brings help to those who have it. This new mascot will form a better relation to people seeing Free to Smile for the first time, and leave a lasting memorable impact on new potential donors.

Our ads can be used across multiple platforms in the print and digital world. This gives us the opportunity to connect with an audience that isn’t aware of Free to Smile. We primarily show imagery of kids that are happy even with cleft lips to instruct the audience that yes, this is a problem in other countries but it’s not something to be ashamed of. Incorporating playful type to go along with the imagery that mimics children’s free spirit. Free to Smile doesn’t want to guilt their audience into donating. They want to celebrate what donating can do for a kid and the impact a person can make.

Photobooth

Free to Smile needed a way to take our audience by surprise and leave a lasting impression. By playing off of a smile we were reminded of the time we shared a smile in a photo booth. Whether you were at a mall, movie theater, or at an event, photo booths seemed to be everywhere. We want to bring that back by connecting Free to Smile with people interacting and smiling in a photo booth, and sharing that experience with the world with the hastag #FREETOSMILE. After taking photos in a Free to Smile photo booth the customer will received a brand designed photo film strip. Then the customer will be able to share their photos with friends with the filmstrip or by getting the images sent to their phones.

Phone Donations

Having the photos sent directly to the customer generates a couple benefits. First, it generates a contact list of people who used the booth that can be used for promotional reasons. As well as when the customer receives their photos they have the option to share their smile and help children who don’t have the ability to share theirs by donating directly from a text. Finally promoting their experience directly through social media with the images to continuously raise cultural awareness.
